Lydia Okojie, Miss Akwa-Ibom, was on sunday crowned winner of the Miss Motivational Nigeria Brain pageant 2018 while the Face of Hospitality was Magnus Mercy.

The 2018 edition of the pageant took place at the prestigious, Golden Tullip Hotel, FESTAC, Lagos.

Aspiring beauty queens, numbering 7, took part in the crowning ceremony witnessed by key industry professionals, captains of industries and A-list celebrities among others.

According to the fairly skinned charming Director, Chibuzor Patrick, the competition was open to young ladies within the ages of 18-25 who are not models, but with exemplary home-grown qualities and can align excellently with the organisation’s mission to empower women beyond beauty but brains; unlike other pageantry.

According to Buzopat in her opening speech” Registration for this year’s edition of the pageant has been totally free because the organisation is committed to change the game of beauty pageantry in Nigeria, the girls did not pay for any form or camping“.

We are committed to finding a young lady who defies the stereotypical perception of beauty queens as just superficial. Miss Motivational 2018 must embody all the attributes of a strong female briany leader”. “She must be beautiful, socially conscious and committed to positively influencing young women across the country and continent. Therefore, in a bid to make this year’s edition an all-inclusive one, the organization as its tradition has withdrawn registration fees to prevent financial restraints on the part of young ladies who are truly deserving of the ultimate title”
